Job description
You will be primarily engaged in the preparation and writing of research proposals for various national and international funding bodies, including the Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF), Innovation Fund Denmark (IFD), and relevant EU programmes. This includes conducting background research, drafting technical content, coordinating with collaborators, and supporting the submission process. You will also be involved in supervising PhD and Master's students, supporting their research activities and project progression within the area of Electrical Energy Technology. As part of your duties, you will act as a teaching assistant for selected Master's level courses. A strong background in Speedgoat Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems is essential, as you will be supporting laboratory-based teaching and demonstrations using this platform. These activities will be carried out in close collaboration with the academic staff, ongoing research projects, and industrial partners within the department.
Your profile
- Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, humanities, arts, or other relevant fields.
- Experience in developing and writing research proposals for funding agencies such as DFF, IFD, and EU Horizon Europe is essential.
- Proven ability in handling and supervising PhD and Master's level research projects, with experience in academic mentoring and project coordination.
- Teaching experience at university level is required, including acting as a teaching assistant in relevant technical courses.
- Hands-on experience with Speedgoat Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems is expected, particularly in the context of teaching and experimental setups.
- A solid publication record in peer-reviewed journals and/or international conferences within electrical energy technology, control systems, or power electronics.
- Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work independently as well as part of a research team, and interact professionally with academic and industrial partners.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Danish is considered an asset but not mandatory.
- The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, and self-motivated, with a strong interest in contributing to both research development and academic teaching.
