Job description
In a team with other academic employees, the candidate will contribute to the development, maintenance, and support of users of the 950 MHZ NMR spectrometer at iNANO and several other NMR spectrometers at lower magnetic fields within the Danish Center for Ultrahigh-Field NMR Spectroscopy situated at iNANO and the Department of Chemistry.

The candidate is expected to contribute to:

  • Support of and interaction with external users of the Center for Ultrahigh-Field NMR Spectroscopy.
  • Support NMR activities at the Department of Chemistry with special focus on solid-state NMR experiments and routine liquid-state NMR of organic compounds.
  • Training of students and external users in NMR spectroscopy, individually or in relevant laboratory courses in chemistry.
  • Cryogenic fillings on NMR spectrometers and service/maintenance of a new He recovery system.
  • Various duties related to the Department of Chemistry.

Your daily leader will be Director of the NMR Center, Professor Niels Chr. Nielsen.

Your profile
Candidates are expected to have an in-depth knowledge on advanced NMR spectroscopy, particularly solid-state Magic-Angle Spinning NMR and basic liquid-state NMR of low-molecular weight organic molecules. Advanced experience with Topspin and the Bruker NMR soft- and hardware will be considered as a plus.

The candidate is expected to have a relevant education in nanoscience, chemistry, physics, materials science or similar. It is considered an advantage if you hold  a PhD within the mentioned areas but it is not a requirement.

We offer a job opportunity in an ambitious and inspiring research and education environment with an informal atmosphere.
