The position is offered to a highly motivated candidate with a PhD degree in Soil Science, Environmental Science, Biogeochemistry, Wetland Science, or related disciplines.
We are searching for a highly motivated candidate who has:

• Knowledge of biogeochemical processes in wetlands (carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus cycling, GHG fluxes).
• Experience in planning and conducting fieldwork or laboratory analyses.
• Familiarity with statistical analyses and data integration across multiple sources.
• Collaborative skills and ability to demonstrate commitment in teams
• Motivation to pursue a scientific career and to take initiative in research.
• Documented experience in scientific writing and publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Further, we will prefer candidates with some of the following qualifications:

• Experience with GHG flux measurements (eddy covariance, chambers) or nutrient flux monitoring.
• Skills in process-based modelling or ecosystem resilience assessment.
• Teaching and supervision experience at the BSc and MSc level.
• Interest and experience in developing competitive national and international research applications.
