The position

The overarching aim of the research project is to exploit data-driven information to visualize electrochemical alterations in materials on the nanometer scale to facilitate design of electrocatalysts for sustainable technology, e.g. for CO2 utilization. The research engineer is supposed to carry out the research project by extending an existing implementation of a modified compressed sensing algorithm targeted for static porous materials to visualize alterations in these materials. To this end, the candidate is based in Mathematics, but joins an interdisciplinary research team together with colleagues from Material Sciences, who will provide domain knowledge as well as the raw data for the algorithmic modifications given by Transmission Electron Microscopy.
