Postdoc position in Crystallography at Aarhus University - Vacancy at Aarhus University

We are seeking candidates for a post-doctoral position within the field of correlated disorder in crystals. The position is for three years. In case further external funding is secured within the academic area which the candidates are assessed obviously qualified for, an extension is possible for up to a total maximum of four years of employment as a postdoc.

The position has focus on measurement and modelling of diffuse scattering using X-rays, electrons and neutrons to establish local structure and correlated disorder in advanced materials and including ultrafast femtosecond science. The project involves software development, measurements using local and large international facilities, and a keen eye on developing relations between local order and material properties. The candidate must have a strong background in materials crystallography with measurement and analysis of diffuse scattering, including use of the 3D-DPDF method. Furthermore, the candidate preferably has experience in writing scientific software.

The starting date is expected to be December 1, 2025, or as soon as possible.
The place of work is Langelandsgade 140, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark.
