NCI-UTA India Seminar, May 23
A successful seminar on " Research and Educational Collaboration in India " was held at the University of Tampere (UTA). Prof. Mikko Ruohonen and Prof. Markku Turunen from UTA’s School of Information Sciences gave a presentation about their ongoing project on frugal innovations on healthcare in rural India. Dr. Satu Ranta-Tyrkkö from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities talked about her challenges as a researcher to conduct field-work in India. Pallavi Pal from the School of Management presented her PhD research project on the nuclear energy collaboration between Russia and India. NCI director Dr. Samrat S. Kumar presented the ongoing activities and new initiatives of the NCI.
